The max damage triggers even with short time. Spamming on enemies piercing quills, triggers it. I usually get heaven cauterize and rejuvenate, according to the match you may want to go for aoe shield or chronos to trigger the main damage ability. 1100 is nearly 50% of most of supports or dd or flank's hp.
