Guide

Fortress Breaker: Makes your shield bigger and slower, and lets it tank more hits so you don't have to. Basically, you're trading a skill that lets you advance onto the point safely for a skill that lets you hold it for longer. This combos very well with...

Siege Engine IV: Reduces the cooldown of your shield by 4 seconds for hitting an enemy with Kinetic Burst. Note how it says "hitting an enemy", not just "activating Kinetic Burst". This means if you can hit 2 people with one KB, that'll take 8 SECONDS of your cooldown. On the other hand, if you don't hit anything, you get nothing back in return. In my experience 4 seconds is enough, but feel free to put another point in this card for that sweet 5 second reset.

Indomitable IV: Let's face it, your shield isn't gonna be up 100% of the time. And when it's not, you're gonna find that crowd control is really annoying to deal with. But you're the knockback queen! Crowd control is YOUR job! Don't let them steal it! Using this card will at least halve the effectiveness of such abilities on you, so you can worry a little less about getting knocked out of your ultimate. There's no way to deal with that Makoa's hook, though.

Brawl IV: Despite everyone and their mother in competitive using Cauterize III (unless you're playing Death and Taxes Lian), this self-healing card can still be used fairly effectively, thanks to your shield being able to protect you. If you find yourself in a pinch, just knock them back and hit Q to give yourself some health (and a bit of breathing room, too). Like Siege Engine, the effect happens once for each enemy hit, so the healing increases if you hit multiple enemies with one KB. If you have faith in your healer, go ahead and knock a point off of this to put into Siege Engine, or maybe Indomitable for even more CD reset/CC reduction.

Castle Forged II: Reduces the cooldown of your KB by 1 second. 'Nuff said.

Heavy Metal I: This card is honestly just to fill in the empty space. I like to use it to give me just that little bit of added durability, but you could go for something like Percussion if you want to keep enemies in front of your shield for just a little longer.

Items:
Cauterize is really good, as your burst cannon does damage in an AOE, so you can apply it to multiple people at once. Rejuvenate will help counter their Cauterize, but if you're playing without a support (God help you), get Kill To Heal instead. In terms of defensive cards, you don't need Resilience thanks to Indomitable, so grab Haven or Blast Shields depending on the enemy team's line up.
