Guide

This isn't my build but it's one that a friend showed me which I think is fun and I've used it with great success, therefore, I think it's worth sharing.

The success of this build relies on the AOE DPS that you get from Scuttle's reload perk. You also need to cast a portal as much as possible to have a constant heal in place when you're in range of said portal.

Early stages are are a bit slow as you need to max out Deft Hands to get to the point when the build is most effective. I usually ignore all other purchases until Deft Hands is maxed out.

Deft Hands
Spend all your dubloons on this initially and then you're good to go. Once this is maxed you can hold your primary attack button and spam reload and your DPS is game changing.

To simplify it:
Dredge + Deft Hands L3 + Primary Attack + Reload = DPS.

Once you've maxed Deft Hands the build is very much open to interpretation depending on your playing style.
The below is what I tend to focus on mostly when playing this build and depending on what the team you're on have and what you're up against.

Haven - Never a bad shout for any character IMO as it's nice to have less damage when you're getting shot in the face repeatedly.
Nimble - Handy to run away from those pesky grenades if you don't have a portal to jump in to and just generally useful to move around more quickly.
Cauterize - Good for any character, especially one with AOE. Depends on what team members have already bought though so might ignore this one if a few members already have bought it.
Life Rip - Again, good skill to have when you're doing lots of AOE damage.
