Guide

NOTE: DO NOT PLAY THIS TALENT OR USE THIS BUILD UNLESS YOU ARE ALREADY GOOD AT PLAYING TALUS
The reason why you shouldn't is because this particular play style is much more high risk/high reward than Talus's other viable talent, Inner Strength.
The main goal of this build is to essentially be a bulky brawler, using Talus's high dps and using his Rune mostly defensively in order to gain extra sustain during a 1v1 fight. Also try to use Blitz Upper often as your finisher to kill a weakened opponent, as not only will the good burst damage allow you to secure kills much easier, but we want to generate that sweet, sweet ultimate charge.

When you do inevitability have your ultimate, DO NOT USE IT UNTIL YOUR RUNE IS NO LONGER ON COOLDOWN. The reason why you do this is because you want to place down the Rune PRIOR to using your ultimate that way if you're in danger of dying you can just teleport back to wherever you placed the Rune. Be VERY mindful of where you place your Rune. DO NOT EVER place the Rune out in an open space, always try to place it either behind a wall or corner where your opponents will not be able to see you and will lose track of you if have you to use the Rune prematurely in order to escape. Hope this helps you all in your attempts to learn and/or get better at playing Talus. Thank you all who read all the way to the end of this, I tried pretty hard to give good advice while also keeping things relatively simple and concise in order to make reading this as digestible as possible.
