Guide
Welcome to another take on Atlas, the newest champion. This particular loadout is much different from my previous "Darkest Hour/My Darkest Hour" build, but just as fun and effective. It does not require the Old Wounds card so you do have a much lower maximum health pool, but what it lacks in maximum health it more than makes up for in "Why won't you die!"?
Legendary Card (s):
This build can functions equally well on both of the following Legendary Cards, though I still prefer Deja Vu.
- Deja Vu: Detrimental to the enemy team, especially if used in just the right situations. It's similar to his Ultimate and can turn the tide of battle by taking enemies completely out of a fight for a short amount of time. This allows you and your team to lay waste to the remaining enemies. With the above loadout, the use of your Setback ability (right click) you also gain a Health shield and still get that 20% lifesteal vs the enemies you hit with the attack.
- Unstable Fissure: In a game where opponents are generally unpredictable this is a much harder legendary card to main and get full use of, however with the Paradox card your Second Chance ability (F) is available alot more often than normal. If you are good at reading an enemy team and just as good at the timing, this card could very devastating to enemy teams, especially the squishier roles (flank/damage).
Loadout:
- Lost Legacy III (3): You heal for 240 health per second for 3 seconds when you activate your Stasis Field.
- Lessons of the Past II (2): Gain 150 health shield for 3 seconds after hitting an enemy with Setback.
- Paradox V (5): Reduce the cooldown of Second Chance (F) by 2.5 seconds. Many new players do not realize this, but the Second Chance ability is essentially a second full life bar if used wisely. You can go from full life to near death and right back to full life again? Heck yes! In and of itself this card is well worth it for a huge increase is survivablilty. If you run the Unstable Fissure legendary card instead of Deja Vu, you can do some serious AoE damage.
- Phantom Pain II (2): Still a great card, even as a minor splash. 20% lifesteal against enemies hit with Setback for the next 5 seconds. Very nice boost in self heals.
- Distant Memory III (3): Not a card to be taken lightly. While below 50% health you recieve 15% increased healing from other players! This is much better than it sounds and provides an astounding boost to incoming heals in those all to often nailbiting situations.
Spending Credits:
Chronos I & II: Still a very important part of Atlas and the only truly required item to buy with credits. He has no cooldown reducing cards except Paradox, which only effects Second Chance. This will be very helpful in being able to use all of your abilities as much as possible during a match.
The rest of your credits can be spent as you like because things always change from match to match depending on enemy team composition. I will say that I almost always take Cauterize I & II due to the multishot bursts of Atlas' chrono-cannon. In some situations Wrecker or Bull Dozer can be quite helpful, especially against a team with Torvald or Inara.
