Guide

The idea of this is you take zhin’s strength that he has in heavy hit with yomi and with blade dance III depending on who your dueling use the decent but not excessive distance whirl to do one of two things at first for both scenarios you will want to have the first hit you land be your heavy hit (unless your dive on by some enemy flank and they get the first shot I’ll get to that later) as this lessens the time before when your first shot connects and when the killing blow connects. You’ll learn with time who falls into each of these categories you dealing with but as a general idea whirls to big uses here are to dive on targets to punish them such as andro with reversal up you have to feed it once whirl up to him and counter the reversal or to outplay by doing things such as say whirling through a Viktor for both the disorentation and the 400 dmg however this is particularly powerful with yomi as it may surprise you but with that talent the heavy hit blast dmg so zhin has 800 direct and 850 blast waning with blast or haven three an enemy can only mitigate roughly half your dmg while you can get up to their full dmg part mitigated.
Now for when you dont land the first shot you got both whirl and counter which grant so much time and dmg the enemy cant land which allows for some pretty strong outplays however if things look real bad in a one v one one of his three uses for his ulti comes up as it’s perhaps one of the most situational in game it’s called spite because two of its uses are just designed to be spiteful to an enemy’s plan one v one looking bad you now have 2000 dmg to throw at them and they can do little to nothing as a dps or flank that they can do this will often net a kill against squishes so long as you land one light hit to apply Cauterize and dmg first another one is the escape or chase use of this ulti say a andro flys to high ground or your surrounded by multiple enemies it’s entirely okay to just use the ult to confirm a kill even if it doesn’t context or just as a means to keep yourself alive. And the final and my personal favorite use of this ulti is to be spiteful of an enemies ult you see Tyra crossfire or vik barrage your ult is technically cc and can cancel or render part of their ultra useless as barrage or those ult is can be game changing you can stop so much there’s other examples two such as if you see a khan ult someone shadow him as he’s going to have to get close to the edge because of the car load out cards that now seem to be popular and you can send him flying essentially resulting in a one two one trade but they spent the more powerful ulti. In terms of items Caut is really important on zhin because his dps is roughly 800 so you really have to make that dmg stick next is your choice of blue cards illuminate for Shalin Skye strix if really wanted but usually there has to be more than one then blast or haven dependent on enemy team you shouldn’t need resil as you have two immunity frames with counter and billow more often than not rejuvenate unless you got no healer cuz it’s casual or something and yellow cards for him are interesting nimble as a whole let’s him flank and duel better Chronos is more immunity for heavy cc comps like bk grumpy and morale is good if you find yourself in the situation I mentioned for ulti above believe it or not for zhin you don’t need the ulti talent to need morale boost master riding isn’t really good on him as zhin really has to look for opportunities and isn’t some kind of Assassin from above like andro.
