Guide

So you may be wondering why I haven’t put hideout in this loadout, it’s because it has received a nerf where instead of increasing the billow duration it reduces the cooldown of whirl, this may seem ok but the base time in billow has also been needed to 1.5 seconds. This makes zhin a survivability considerably lower.

Zhin is my second most played flank and one of the champions that I consistently do well on, some information if you don’t trust me; I am in masters right now I have been in masters for a long time, I have entered some small paladins tournaments with some very good players and did pretty well. Into the build

So first up is the talent, Yomi is his best and most versatile talent by far, guillotine is not that useful really but I might make a guillotine build that is pretty successful, even though smoulder is getting a buff to 33% of you max health per second, it’s still garbage because they needed the billie duration so you get about the same value.
Yomi allows you to:
-get great burst
-have good long range poke
- gives you a higher ttk (which zhin needs now that he’ll be pretty weak)
- allows for you to kill more people giving you higher choke pressure
Those are just a few of the reasons to pick yomi, howeverbif you want to pick another talent you may, it just might not get as much effectiveness.

Up in smoke at level 5 is now basically mandatory, you need to get the most out of your billow as it is significantly weaker, this card will allow you to get more distance with billow making it more reliable. This however ( since the nerfs anyway ) makes billie a good engage tool, I have been playing on the pts a lot and it seems to work well in most scenarios.

Fan the flames is another card that you really need to have after the nerfs, before (and for the rest of this patch) you could have it at a 3 and it would be ok, but now you really need to have this at 4. I wouldn’t recommend this at level 5 because there isn’t any point, if you come out of billie and kill someone instalntly, with it at level 4 it will be brought down to 2.4 second I believe, if you are in front of Althea while enemy team at this time (which oh really shouldn’t be) you can counter and your billow will be up again and you will take no damage. This card also synergises with up In smoke and heartless because if you still want to be agressive you can still get a kill, billow to another target very quickly and with the 10% movement speed you get, kill them swiftly.

Infamy if a card that I feel is very helpful now that is is so much more squishy than before, he really needs this because he needs more survivability in combat and 1v1s or just more survivability from everything like poke too. This allows you to be aggressive too since you have more health to spare, however dobt get too cocky and agressive because a good player will punish you HARD.

Blade dance is one that I always like because it’s good and it never hurts to have more distance on your whirl. I used to run this at a 3 but I had to but more into health and fan the flames. This allows you to have a slight bit more horizontal mobility and can help you get away better, however is and heartless are just filler cards, these filler adds fit my play style well; which I’ll explain after I go over items. You can alter the filler cards to something that fits you’re plasystyle, remember this is just a guide and not me telling you what to do

Now that we have the cards and talents over, let’s move onto items.
Number one: 99% of the time I get first, 99%
Then I’ll probably get either haven/ blast shields ( resi if there is lots of cc that you feel keeps being the cause of your deat) or kill to heal. I usually buy yellow items last and it’s mostly chronos, maybe nimble, moral boost if I’m running guillotine and if you are one ice mines, GET MASTER RIDING it’s literally a must because of how large that map is, dying can take 20 seconds away from you which is a huuge amount of time, so please on Ice mines get master riding.

MY PLAYSTYLE:

I like to play zhin in a mix of two ways now after the hug changes. I like to play agressive but also safely while poking on a distance, it all depends on the situation. You want to go In wit her the basic attack whirl animation cancel then kill them, once you’re noticed or fucused billie back to safely whether that be a place to hide or back to you team. Or you can play aggressively, using your billie to engage, using your whirl as a damage and a reposition to mess up your target while killing them with your burst; then using the billow cooldown reset to A: engage onto another target and kill them and so on. That’s if they do t focus you or pay much attention to you or you kno they’re super low and you want to trade. Or B: use it to escape after you got you pick whichever will help you’re team out greatly in winning the team fight. If you go the more agressive route you will be using your counter as a mind game sort of - basic attack, whirl animation cancelling so you get high burst and your on the other side of your enemy, the most likely tho g that will happen is that they will turn around to shoot you but because you are smart , you did the basic attack, counter animation cancel to get a decent amount of damage in and deflect the incoming shot from the enemy probably killing most squishies if not just give them a swing and say goodbye.

This has been my zhin guide, I hope you find this useful and this will help you. In my opinion, after the nerfs zhin will be a decent flank but not the best meaning the only flank viable In higher tiers is evie basically (who is my third most played flank) btw my number one flank is maeve who I think is viable but not very good however if you are good you can snowball pretty hard and carry!
