Guide
Are you a true master of "THE TWILIGHT ASSASSIN"? Do you want to kick some tail in Casual? Then this loadout is for you!
(wow that sounds like a terrible infomercial...)
anyways this loadout is designed to give you plenty of easy kill chains so you can destroy your opposition in combat. Let me explain my choices to you.
The Talent: Preparation
This is where the build starts, and where you get your biggest flaws. As you can see, when you are able to get behind the enemy and assassinate your target, or just kill them head on, you reset your cooldowns and gain a health buff just under the value of Kill to Heal 2. The heal you get can help sustain you when you are able to move from one target to the other in rapid succession; however it will not help you in One V One fights. It also resets your cooldowns meaning you almost always will have Poison Darts up for extra damage, or Hidden/Smoke Bomb up for escape/utility. The other problem this brings up is you don’t have “Surprise Attack”/“Smoke and Dagger” for extra burst or “Debilitate” for dealing with tanky team comps. The other talents are nice, but Preparation is what makes this work.
The Loadout:
Twilight Armor 5 - You only have 2000 Hit Points. A lucky (or skilled) snake toss or other forms of Crowd Control can ruin your chances of chaining kills. With this maxed out you nearly have Resilience 3 right from the get-go. Crowd Control being reduced on you can make other champions essentially waste time trying to slow, fear, stun or knock you off the map reducing the damage they do to you. If they learn its not working then its one less tool for you to have to fight.
Ninja 2 - There really isn’t that much to say. Extra mobility is nice for when you need to get into/out of a position. Invisibility might not be the strongest form of mobility, but we aren't using it as that. Think of this Hidden like a weaker Maeve Prowl were you cant be seen if you keep your distance and the enemy doesn’t have Illuminate.
Emergence Exit 1 - OK. This one is literally a filler card. I just use it because I can see when I go invis much easier than when I am low on HP. This way I have some warning for when I need to disengage.
Healing Vapors 2 - 200 Heal over 5 seconds that is basically always up due to Preparation? Sounds Great! Who doesn’t want extra sustain? Yes it is countered by cauterize but early game you won’t notice that much and late game you should have high cauterize yourself. You will mainly throw Smoke Screen at your feet to get the healing since you should always have Hidden up to get out if things get hairy.
Tactical Reload 5 - Ah! The final nail in the coffin. When your stuck against an entire enemy team you want to reload as little as possible. Guaranteeing you get 75% of your clip back on kill or assist means you can move from target to target not having to reload or take breaks. By the time your opposition knows you were there, you will have already killed their friend and left.
Items:
- Cauterize/Wrecker - You want Cauterize 90% of the time. Only pick Wrecker if you have to fight a Torvald and you expect him to do a lot of bubbling on his teammates.
- Life Rip/Kill to Heal - Do you want extra health during the fights? or do you want extra burst of health after the fight. Your pick.
- Heaven/Blast Shields - What is giving you more problems? Direct or Blast Damage?
- Any Utility except Chronos - You have Preparation… you don’t need it. Seriously.
NOTE: 2 and 3 can be done in either order, use your judgement.
