Guide

The Mercy Kill talent adds two extra Nade Launcher charges to Tyra's already formidable arsenal. This carefully selected loadout maximizes Tyra's survivability and damage output, turning her into a relentless, self-sufficient fragging machine.

Begin your assault with Hunter's Mark and a well-placed Fire Bomb. When you start receiving significant damage, fire the Nade Launcher to heal yourself (Turn the Table) and gain some damage reduction (In the Fray).
Tyra's combination of direct damage and AOE attacks should net you plenty of kills and eliminations per game, which makes Primal Might an excellent card for reducing your ability cooldowns. This equates to even more damage output and self-healing.
The Survivalist card isn't just a filler; it actually increases Tyra's health to 2450, thus preventing her from getting one-shot by Jenos' ultimate.

The perks you buy from the shop should vary depending on what you're up against; but Cauterize, Chronos, Life Rip and Deft Hands are my default choices. Tyra already has 15% life steal with her auto rifle, which stacks with Life Rip to make her even tankier. Deft Hands and Chronos minimize the downtime of your weapon and abilities for more sustained damage and self-healing.

Although Tyra is an S-Tier champion, she lacks any advanced movement or stealth abilities. Unlike many other champions, Tyra can't escape from a bad situation by dashing, flying, or going invisible. So my main rule when playing Tyra is: Don't get caught out in the open without the rest of your team. Good positioning is key to playing Tyra effectively. Stick to cover, hold choke points, guard flanking routes, and don't stray too far from your team. You can dish out loads of damage, keep enemies off the objective and protect your teammates from nearby power positions. Tyra excels at mid-range combat so there's no use in rushing in.
