Guide

The purpose and use of this build is to enable your damage teammates to push more against the point defenders and damages dealers. With this build, not only will you increase the amount of time and shielding your teammates have but it will allow you to stick around longer yourself to possibly reshield them or help get the kill.


The Store Items to purchase with this build and their priorities are:

1. Rejuvinate- Because you are more of an Off-Tank versus a direct point hold tank you want to make sure to help your healers keep you alive while you shield and heal the other teammates. 

2. Haven- You are still considered a tank and the enemy team is going to get tired of your shield the damage dealers so they are going to do everything they can to destroy you. Mitigate their direct damage and the direct damage of any flankers as much as possible.

3. Blast Shields/Resilience- Taking one or both of these will depend very much on the other team and what they are using against you. You do not have a movement ability so making sure the enemy can't lock you down and melt you with AOE damage will be paramount to your team.

4. Chronos- The faster you can cooldown your shield of Protection the better you will be able to stay alive and support the team. Having this to throw your shields out more often will keep the team alive and provide high levels of support.

Overall, Torvald is an Off-Tank so don't take him if there are no other tanks to hold point. While he has shields and healing capabilities he lacks movement and good damage mitigation abilities. Make sure to play around corners so you can keep your friends in-sight but stay out of shot of the enemies.

ULTIMATE: Save his ultimate for situations/maps where you can push the enemy team off the map or you just need them off the point for a few seconds for your team to capture.
